As the world mourns the loss of one of the last great movie stars, Glam looks back on Elizabeth Taylor's life in fashion--the glitz, the glamour, the diamonds!

Taylor's eyes were one of her most iconic features. She knew how to play them up with dark makeup and statement earrings, which made her whole face sparkle. "I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it," she said.

In her role as the Egyptian queen, Taylor donned grand gilded jewels, elaborate headpieces and slinky gowns. Her look attracted the attention of co-star Richard Burton and their love affair heated up on set. The costumes clearly suited the star.

Taylor was one of Warhol's favorite subjects and the works remain highly coveted. Hugh Grant once bought a piece and just last year one of Warhol's portraits of Liz sold for $63.4 million.

The three time Academy Award winner knew how to coordinate her glamourous ensembles with Oscar gold. Few actresses have ever hit the red carpet in more carats than Taylor. "Big girls need big diamonds," she once said.

We're not sure who wore more sequins, but Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson were quite the dynamic duo. "Liz provided a sense of relief and comfort to my brother at various difficult times in his life, and I appreciate that, may she rest in peace,” said Tito Jackson in a statement.

When Taylor was honored by PACT in 1991 she wore a jacket that celebrated her fame. The piece featured some of her most memorable movie looks. Taylor made over 50 films since she started acting at 9-years-old, but Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Butterfield 8, Cleopatra, Father of the Bride, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf remain standouts.

Taylor was the first celebrity to have her own fragrance. Her House of Taylor Beauty line was distributed by Elizabeth Arden and included her incredible successful perfumes--White Diamonds, Passion, and Forever Elizabeth.
